I still consider myself a seasonal eater. When I was as child we ate what was grown each season. Tomatoes meant June through August. That's what made them special.
There's nothing like a vine ripened tomato from your own garden, or even better, from a friend's. I am desperate to eat it, but have to look at it for at least a day. Look at the color it makes me so happy. That's what summer means--fresh produce. Not from the store, but from the vine. I still consider myself a seasonal eater.
