Sandra Nichols, the owner and designer of "Snug on the Square" has created the perfect den upstairs & has several dining vignettes on the main floor to enjoy your coffee or meal.
You can't miss the "Snug Chairs" in the front window. I was very lucky to have met Sandra at Diggin' It (The Indooor/Outdoor Emporium on Tennessee Street) this past February and was commissioned to slipcover her giant club chairs. Her vision for these chairs are just the beginning of her signature look for the store.
The al fresco section located at the store's entrance makes you feel like you are sitting in a well planned patio garden. . .
Snug's retail section includes "Natural Life" brand products and other hip items you don't find elsewhere on the square.
Sandra's love for this place is obvious and natural. She comes from a restaurant background. Her father owns a McDonald's in Greenville, South Carolina and she grew up in the business. Sandra moved here last summer with her husband (his job brought them here) and their 5 children. Her travels and experiences have all led her to McKinney to open her dream café.
When you walk into "Snug on the Square", you will feel what a welcoming refuge it is. It is a perfect fit for McKinney and when you visit this breath of fresh air on the square, you will know exactly what I am talking about.
