In the real world I prefer a pair of Old Gringo cowboy boots – mules, to be exact. They are easy on & easy off - my favorite with boot cut jeans. Skinny jeans call for high Born sandals or maybe a Sperry boot or deck shoe. Ooh, a knee high boot is pretty sweet too. Any one outfit can take on a whole new vibe with a different shoe. Then, don’t we all have outfits that we always wear a certain pair of shoes to create the “look”!
Looking in my closet I realize my feet reflect the true multiple personalities that lend support to my wardrobe. I know so many people who are locked into a specific look and you know exactly what they will look like when they walk through the door. It’s good to be true to yourself no matter how you dress. I hope the shoes I possess continue to compliment the fashion styles I reflect. I would like to think I can keep shifting my style here and there – complimenting the old me in a new way. My shoes are along for the ride. I don’t buy shoes frequently, but I buy what I love.
As for the shoe shopping issue? Here are a few links to help you expand your mental shoe collection. Maybe you will see some from your closet or from the back of the closet you forgot you had. Some old shoes & boots are new again and some should remain in the back of the closet!
Let’s go shopping . . .
