We don’t believe in the mall being our only source for great shopping. We do like sales, but this time of year there are few autumn items on the bargain rack! So, we begin with great, classic finds that cost a little more (and endure in style), and work out from those pieces. Resale stores are great places but the true bargains are found at thrift stores. And not all thrift stores are equal. I do like certain brand names and I have lots of luck at my favorite thrift store. Good thrifting is the union between good brands and good prices. The high end brands will cost a little more but will make your wardrobe a little less disposable
I thought I would share my Anthropologie belt (the high end piece) and it’s “hook up”with the thrift store finds. The shirts all cost under $5 each. The felt hat was found at a yard sale. The mulit-color beads were bought at Target on the sale rack (there are two of the same necklace to make it look substantial and the right length), the bronze necklace with the large button was bought at Diggin’t, made by a local, McKinney artist.
