Yesterday we went to Dallas looking for a consignment store she had read about online. It lived up to all the hype! We loved it. I just hope you take a trip east on Mockingbird Lane and check out the "feel" that Lakewood has.
Lakewood is one of the areas in the metroplex that I worked in the 80's, it was hip and trendy then & it still has that artsy edge.
You can do a great day trip! Next month is Dallas Blooms . If you haven't been there - don't wait until next year. Just do it! Lakewood shopping is a unique experience! It looks a great deal like historic McKinney, but has that old school artsy feeling . . . it's McKinney's urban sister (and don't we all want to shop in THAT closet!!)
First stop was Ditto Boutique . It is a finalist for D Magazine Best Consignment & Vintage Shop . Go online to vote for them & go experience it for yourself. Lots of high end accessories, great clothing with plenty of shoes and boots. The owner is as curious as the shop - both equally awesome. Check out the opportunity to consign your own items. Look & love!
We accidentally found our second stop, another D Magazine nominee. Random is a home and accessories establishment. The walls are loaded with art created by well known Dallas artists such as Dahlia Woods & Traci Hutton. If you get a chance, do a drive around the west side of White Rock Lake . . . it is quite the oasis.
Don't forgot two of McKinney's D Magazine nominees - Gray Living & Pumps.
Check it out. Vote & find the love on our endless crusade, to find that which is shop-worthy!
